ROCAR – Regional Organization
for Conflict Analysis and Resolution is a Non-Governmental
Organization which was registered and started its activities
in September 2006. ROCAR’s commitment is to see peoples
lives changed and transformed to having a peaceful and dignified
life.
The foundation of ROCAR is built on fostering peace through
support to development actions that mitigate potential causes
of conflict. The organization believes in mainstreaming conflict
resolution into development agenda of the marginalized communities
as a human right and prerequisite to lasting peace. This therefore
gives ROCAR the credibility and capacity to successfully implement
these development programmes and improve the living standards
of the people of Kenya and its borders. Our organization is
committed to contributing towards conflicts prevention and
resolution by harmonizing and complementing the efforts of
all stakeholders through the implementation of effective and
practical programmes. This is also enabled through the relationships
we have made with our partners – CEMIRIDE, CRECO, PeaceNet
Trust and DICED.
